For Father’s day I had an elaborate plan for our day. I wanted to celebrate Jonathan and what a great father he is. We were going to go to the nature preserve and go for a family bike ride. Jonathan would love that. So I found a baby bike seat on craigslist . . .but when we went to attach it. . . we are missing an important part. Bummer. So I thought we should go downtown and get an iced coffee and ride the free trolley. But the trolley doesn’t run on Sundays. Bummer. So I thought we should go swimming. . . but Jonathan didn’t want to. Bummer. So after all my planning I woke up Sunday morning without a plan. So. . .we went to the nature preserve after all and walked. And it was HOT. We did see some fun animals. Some of the pictures are out of focus. . sorry . . . 

If you live in Wichita and you haven’t gone out there. . . you should. But maybe when it’s not a billion degrees outside. It may make it more enjoyable for you. This is what Genevieve did while we walked.

Don’t worry. . . I didn’t just make Jonathan walk around in the heat on Father’s day. . . I also fed him a steak.

Today I am thankful for steak. It’s very yummy.
